Phoenix Arizona Auto Insurance -- A Multi-Policy Discount Could Be A Bad Move

Phoenix Arizona Auto Insurance: Getting an auto insurance policy from the same insurance company that provides your other insurance policies will get you a discount. Every insurance company will normally give a discount if you buy more than one policy from their company.

Notwithstanding that you can save a lot with a multi-policy discount, you may get a better deal by buying your various policies from different insurance companies. I will take more time out to explain this...

We will imagine that a certain profile has the following rates from three different insurance companies...

Company A...

Phoenix Arizona Auto insurance: $2,387

Phoenix Arizona Home insurance: $1,300

Phoenix Arizona Health insurance: $2,420

Company B...

Phoenix Arizona Auto insurance: $1,572

Phoenix Arizona Home insurance: $2,180

Phoenix Arizona Health insurance: $2,824

Company C...

Phoenix Arizona Auto insurance: $3,630

Phoenix Arizona Home insurance: $2,190

Phoenix Arizona Health insurance: $1,630

You can clearly see that although Company B offers this individual the best rate for auto insurance it did not have the cheapest rates for the other insurance policies..

Assuming that he buys the 3 policies from Company B and is given a 10% multi-policy discount, his total would be...

$1,572 + $2,180 + $2,824 = $6,576

$6,576 - (10 percent of $6,576) = $5,918.40

On the other hand, if he buys from insurance companies who give him the most affordable quotes for each policy his total insurance spend would be...

$1,300 + $1,572 + $1,630 = $4,502

Therefore even though he'll get a multi-policy discount if he buys all his policies from one he'll not save as much as he saved by buying from several insurers.

A reduction as high as $1,416.40 isn't one that should be over looked.

So are you sure of which would be best for your profile? It's not something you can really determine by guess work because it could be either way. That is, one person might be better off with a multi-policy discount while another person would be better off buying from different insurers.

So how do you know for sure? All that you'll have to do is just an easy procedure that will take you just minutes...

Make out some time to get and compare quotes for each insurance policy not less than 3 insurance quotes sites. Select the lowest quotes returned for each insurance policy and then simply compare their sum with what you'll pay with a multi-policy discount and you'd know which is more beneficial for you.
